What Will We Do in Africa?

Unlike our shorter retreats, Destination Retreats are a true blend of vacation and wellness. Our daily agenda is relaxed, with plenty of time to explore the area on your own or through some carefully curated excursions. We will have a yoga practice daily (sometimes 2), an optional workshop centered on growth and transformation, free time, and evening meditation. A sample agenda might look like this:

DAY 1:

  • Arrivals
  • Welcome Gathering
  • We will all sign a “Safe Space” agreement to ensure respect, confidentiality, and non-judgment
  • Spend some time getting to know each other. Just the basics – no need to share if you don’t wish to.
  • Dinner – delicious and nutritious food
  • Guided meditation

DAYS 2-7:

  • Morning Yoga
  • Breakfast
  • Free time to journal, explore, practice – whatever you want to do
  • Afternoon optional workshop (examples might be: meditation, creation of mala bracelets, history of yoga, yoga philosophy, creative and nutritious cooking, etc.)
  • Free time
  • Dinner – more yummy and nutritious food
  • Restorative practice followed by guided meditation

DAY 8:

  • Check-in with each other and Q & A. Sharing of thoughts and experiences if desired
  • Final practice and guided meditation
  • Goodbyes!

Above all, you will have plenty of time to unwind, learn about yoga and how to leverage it in support of your well-being, as well as get some time to process it all. Additionally, you will also have plenty time to be on your own to do your own thing.
